The selection process is overseen by the Christmas Cities Network, an organization dedicated to promoting the cultural, social, and economic values of Christmas celebrations across Europe. Supported by the European Parliament, this initiative aims to highlight cities and villages that exemplify community engagement, innovation, and heritage preservation during the holiday season.
The international jury, chaired by Professor Danuta Hübner, an esteemed economist and politician, brings a wealth of expertise. Hübner has served as European Commissioner for Regional Policy, Polish Minister of Foreign Affairs, and Member of the European Parliament, reinforcing the Network’s commitment to European cultural values and excellence.
Vilnius: European Christmas Capital 2025
